Principal's Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Happy New Year! 2020 represents a new decade full of opportunities, as well as a chance for rededication to our vision, principles and expectations. At this time, I am asking for your help in our effort to develop our students in becoming the best in the district. In order to make this happen, I feel we need to restate our basic expectations for the benefit of all of our students.

  • School begins at 8:05 am and ends at 2:35 pm.
  • Half day Dismissal is now 12:35pm.
  • Students must arrive on time. Any early pickups must be completed by 1:30pm.
  • Students must be in uniform, according to district policy.
  • Parents please make sure the main office has your most recent contact information. Too often in an EMERGENCY, we do not have the ability to contact anyone for the child (ren).

As we prepare for the implementation of the NJSLA, (for grades 3-5) in May, we intend to narrow our instructional focus to improve our students’ academic performance. All of this will be for naught if we do not have you on board. Let us continue to work together to help our children. Make sure that the communication pathway between home and school is wide open! I thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation.

Lastly, please make note of the following important dates for January, 2019.

    • Thursday, January 2, 2020:  SCHOOL REOPENS.
    • Monday, January 20, 2020: Observance of MLK Day. SCHOOL CLOSED
    • Tuesday, January 21, 2020: Professional Development Day for teachers. SCHOOL CLOSED
